Collectors may arrange the poems as they wish, representing analog generativity: Caballero\u2019s idea that every reading is its own universe. In assembling the book\u2019s pages, collectors become co-creators.\n\nThe paper on which the poems are printed was handmade from the artist\u2019s bed linens \u2013 the result of a close collaboration with ARRATOS, an artisanal paper-making studio in Madrid.\n\nWritten in the artist\u2019s signature, straightforward style, these poems give voice to what\u2019s left unsaid in the all-important space of home, hanging dirty laundry\u2014literally\u2014out to dry. \n\nEach artist book includes a digital file that presents a singular \u201creading\u201d of its texts, as conveyed by a tailor-made algorithm, combining analog and machine-driven generativity.\n\nCaballero worked with coder Cameron Nelson on this algorithm.
